So with whom have Mickey Mulligan and The Travelers been hanging around?

David Letterman
Bass player Matt Stoulil had Dave completely perplexed on the Late Show one night.  Dave could not come up with a reason that Paul Shaffer's band is more dangerous than Mickey Mulligan and The Travelers.

George "W" Bush
During his campaign for President of the United States, Colleen Galbreath had the opportunity to impress the Republican candidate with her jigs and reels.  After his election he was heard to comment, "This Irish drinking music brings back fond memories of my youth...well, college at least."

Geraldo Rivera
Gerry O'Hara was a guest of Geraldo one afternoon.  The studio audience was filled with chaw-chewing, plaid-shirted, muddy-booted rednecks hootin' and hollerin'.  Said Geraldo, "He's a banjo-pickin' fool right out of Deliverance country.  I've never had a bigger freak on the show...and it's given us our highest ratings yet!"

Larry King Live
As a guest of Larry King, Mickey Mulligan was interviewed while on scene in Portland, Oregon inspecting the condition of the local Irish pubs...a subject well worthy of prime time news.

Margaret Thatcher
Jack Duggan gives the thumbs up after concluding a successful negotiation with the former British Prime Minister to allow traditional Irish Folk music to be played by street musicians in England.

Jay Leno
The original members of The Travelers had the Tonight Show host in absolute stitches with their antics.  "If I was young and thin again, I'd be up there on stage with them," said Leno, "Of course I'd need to learn to play an instrument...I'm sure the Irish whiskey would help me pretend!"

And what have people been saying about Mickey Mulligan and The Travelers?

Kathy Ireland
About Mickey Mulligan:  "He's a real nice guy, and that's all I'll say about that.  But I do want to know why everybody thinks I have something to do with Ireland just because that's my last name."

Tonya Harding
When asked to comment on her stage performance with The Travelers (see below), she quickly answered, "If I ever see that $%& Mulligan guy again, I'm going to kick his #%$ and I'll video tape the whole thing!"

Jay Leno
When asked about The Travelers, this late night funny-man was heard to say, "Their music makes me hot under the collar.  Of course, it is over 100 degrees today, and I'm wearing long underwear."

David Letterman
There was a great plug from Late Show host David Letterman, when he held up The Travelers' live CD from Okinawa and said, "This is the greatest CD I've listened to sober.  It made me want to smoke a cigar and not be sober any more."

John Howard
John Howard is the Prime Minister for Australia.  When asked what he thought about Mickey Mulligan and The Travelers, he replied after a brief pensive pause, "Mickey Muckiluck and the what?"  Of course, The Travelers have never heard of Mr. Howard either.

Moe
After a gig at Moe's Tavern, The Travelers relaxed and had a few brews, listening for hours to Barney's philosophy on life.  Moe had this to say, "Those boys sure know how to drink a lot of beer.  They're a lot better looking than my regular customers, too."

And who has been singing the songs of Mickey Mulligan and The Travelers?

Homer Simpson
Homer once took the stage as a guest singer with The Travelers when they played at Moe's Tavern in Springfield.  Homer had so many Duff beers before the show that his lyrics were unintelligible...much to the delight of the crowd.  He sang "Beer, Beer, Beer" a dozen times and passed out on the thirteenth attempt.

Tonya Harding
The exotic and attractive  world-class skater once elbowed her way onto stage for a guest appearance with The Travelers.  After her first song, they politely asked her to leave, but when she pulled out a billy-club and threatened to destroy Colleen's fiddle, they kindly allowed her to sing 36 more songs non-stop.

Kevin Eubanks
Director of Jay Leno's Tonight Show band, Kevin has never even thought about playing with Mickey Mulligan and The Travelers.  But he should.  And he might some day.  Irish music isn't even his style, at least in public.  But he's probably a closet fan of The Travelers.  It is reported that he did buy an action figure.

NOTE:  This page is a spoof, and intended merely as humor.  Mickey Mulligan and The Travelers have never appeared on any of the shows portrayed above, nor with any of the above individuals, nor have any of the individuals above ever commented on Mickey Mulligan and The Travelers.  Frankly, we would be surprised if any of the individuals portrayed above have even heard of Mickey Mulligan and The Travelers.  And if they had, they probably would not have anything nice to say about the band.  Except, of course, Homer Simpson.
