The American Consulate

For Independence Day, Mickey was invited to play for the American Consulate in Okinawa, Japan.  He shared the stage with the extremely talented jazz band, Miles Ahead, with whom he even ended up playing blues keyboard by the end of the evening!

Mick pulled out his guitar and harp, and gave the crowds a taste of something a little different for American Independence Day.

As the afternoon continued, the liquor was flowing amongst the crowds...as well as the performers.

Guests of the American Consulate in Okinawa were treated to a buffet featuring American and Okinawan cuisine...

...as well as two well-stocked bars.  It was estimated that approximately 300 guests attended this gala event.

United States Marines from the Third Marine Expeditionary Force provided jazz, with their group, Miles Ahead.

As usual, Mickey had fun well into the evening, providing songs and jokes as part of the entertainment.
