The Morrigan's One-Year Hoolie

The Morrigan's Irish Pub opened its doors in April 1999, so the pub celebrated its one-year anniversary with a huge hoolie in April 2000.  After two outstanding warm-up bands, The Travelers were the headliners as usual, and also as usual, the evening gave way to drinking, singing and dancing until the wee hours of the morning.

Arriving just in time for the one-year anniversary, The Morrigan's Irish Pub banners were hung in the bar.

Miles Ahead, a five-piece jazz band, opened up the night upstairs...

...while the Irish session group, Two Pot Screamers, kept the downstairs crowd entertained.

Then The Travelers took the stage, and the traditional Irish pub tunes began, complete with sweating musicians.

The upstairs of the pub was crowded with patrons ready to eat, drink and sing.

And as soon as The Travelers began to play, the dancers hit the floor.

Some with more energy than others!

And eventually, some sort of Irish line dancing began!

Jack, Mickey and Rowan take a break between sets.
